Does Votel have a power dialer, and how does it work?
Yes. Votel has a built-in web phone with a power dialer for people making sales calls. The web phone also has hold music.
- Go to your contacts and filter or group them, for example group by pipeline stage, or filter for contacts whose last call date is not set to find people you have not called yet.
- Select the contacts (you can use select all) and click the phone (power dialer) icon in the blue bar that appears.
- On the Start Power Dialer screen, record a voicemail or pick one of your recordings from the drop-down menu to use as your voicemail drop.
- Click Start calling. A mini web phone opens and dials the first contact.
- During each call, take notes and click a disposition such as Interested, Not interested, No answer or Voicemail. The result is saved as you go.
- When you reach an answering machine, wait for the greeting and the beep and click Drop voicemail. Your recording is left in the background and the dialer moves on to the next contact, so you do not dial the next number yourself.
The power dialer dials one line at a time. It is not a predictive dialer and does not call several people at once for one person. For several calls at the same time, use AI calling, where multiple AI agents call at once. You can request multi-line dialing for people as a feature under Settings, then Roadmap.
Dispositions are a feature of the power dialer. A one-off click-to-call does not show the disposition drop-down, so place calls through the power dialer when you want to log outcomes. Dispositions can also be triggers that start an automation.
The dialer calls from a phone number you bought in Votel. You can also choose a number pool as your caller ID for local presence dialing, so a call to Texas shows a Texas number.
The Drop Voicemail button is also on the web phone for manual calls. Ringless voicemail (the double call method of leaving a voicemail) is not available, including in workflows; voicemail drop is on the power dialer. During and after a call you can see the transcript, the summary and who called whom, and play the recording.
From the same contact selection you can also run other bulk actions, such as bulk email or SMS, or assign the contacts to an AI agent if you want AI to do the calling instead. Each AI agent has its own greeting, which is what it says on an outbound call or to a voicemail machine.
